BSG is announcing the launch of Bill2Phone Mobile Collect, an automated billing solution that enables cell phone users to add incoming collect call charges directly to their mobile telephone bill.
Unlike landlines, mobile phone numbers are typically blocked when collect call requests are made to them because most operators have no automated billing mechanism to charge the recipient. Those operators that could connect callers to wireless subscribers required the recipient to pay for the call via a credit card.
In an increasingly mobile society, with more than 260 million mobile devices currently in use, the ability to charge collect calls to mobile phone subscribers is critical. BSG’s new solution enables operator service providers to connect callers that would normally be blocked because recipients were only available via a mobile phone.
